“I feel like no matter how much I do, it’s never enough, and I’m just tired of feeling so much pressure.”

 


 

2. Our answer

 

Yep, this sounds about right.

Because here’s the thing…

We’re all in the middle of breaking generational cycles while also trying to keep everyone fed, supported, emotionally stable, and screen-regulated.

We’re expected to model calm, keep the house in order, stay connected to our partners, and NEVER raise our voice (lol).

And yeah… we’re doing ALL of this with less support than ever before.

Of course we feel like we’re drowning, because our nervous systems simply weren’t built to carry this kind of pressure.

So here’s our tip of the week…

👉 Your nervous system needs consistency, not perfection.

Here’s what the science tells us…

When we’re stuck in this kind of survival mode, our prefrontal cortex (the thinking, reasoning, problem-solving part of the brain) basically goes offline.

That’s why we often know what to do (like stay calm, validate, and use connection-based tools), but in the moment, we still snap, yell, shut down, or withdraw.

So the missing piece for most of us isn’t more information… it’s regulation.

To become the parent you want to be, you don’t need to try harder or do more.

You need to help your nervous system feel safe enough to show up differently.

👉 And that takes repetition. Routine. Realignment.

Obviously not all at once… but just consistently enough to start shifting the way your brain and body respond under the ridiculous amount of pressure that this world thrusts upon you.
